where peace and spirituality are intertwined

As soon as you step beyond the walls that once surrounded the Abbey, you will immediately feel a sense of peace and deep spirituality. You will see a simple, beautiful Romanesque abbey amidst greenery. You will hear the singing of birds and the flow of the “Argentella” spring, which has always supplied water and life to the area. This place takes us back to ancient roman times or even earlier, as it is believed to have been built as a pagan place of worship later transformed into a Christian temple. The Benedictine monks devoted their lives here to cultivating, studying and meditating.
